Most programs service the homeless, they strive to give them a hand up out of were they are, back involved in society agian, Enjoying all that comes with living in this great country of ours.

They spend their year talking with the homeless giving out food cards, clothing and other needed items and most of all GODS word. On Christmas day they give out gifts and food bags. This year 2008 they plan on giving out over 2.000 gifts to the homeless in Dallas, Ft Worth and Ellis co. area.

Family Gateway, in cooperation with the religious community, private sector and governmental entities, provides comprehensive services to children and families experiencing homelessness. Family Gateway provides a family focused environment that offers temporary housing, counseling, vocational training, job search and placement assistance, transitional living apartments and community transition services. The programs offered restore dignity, stability and self-sufficiency to the family unit, as well as create an atmosphere of emotional, social and economic empowerment.

The Supportive Housing program addresses the basic need of the entire family unit. It stabilizes them by providing housing for 10-12 weeks. Each family resides in a private room and receives 3 daily meals, clothing and other essential needs for hygiene, room upkeep, etc. Services Welcome packs – upon entry, toiletry, linen, cleaning supplies and a special gift is provided for each familyFamily Trinkets store – conveniently located on the premises, families can shop for clothing, free of chargeFull service Cafeteria – provides daily, balanced and nutritious food which includes a continental breakfast and 2 hot mealsComputer Lab – allows adults to access computers to assist with job postings, permanent housing searches, etc. and allows children access for completing homework or to utilize educational softwareTransportation assistance – bus passes are provided for clients who are active in job search or may need to attend classes/appointments outside of the facility. Bus passes are also provided for school-aged children who do not attend schools that provide bus service
